Kunle Afolayan on the journey to re-make history with a new series of Anikulapo—Rise of the Spectre

Afolayan, the multiple award-winning filmmaker, is sure to re-make history. Kunle, who bags five(5) awards at the recently concluded 9th edition of AMVCA, makes this known via his social media handle.

The film project, which is a sequel to Aníkúlápó, a 2022 African epic fantasy film distributed by Netflix. Released on 30 September 2022, stars Kunle Remi, Bimbo Ademoye, Sola Sobowale, Hakeem Kae-Kazim and Taiwo Hassan.

Without an aorta of fear, the award-winning filmmaker wrote, “Another magic in the making. History about to be made.”

Appreciating the renowned titan in filmmaking; Tunde Kelani, his year-long mentor, Afolayan wrote, “Thank you Baba mi for always standing by my side.”
