Veteran Nollywood Thespian, Saint Obi passed away at age 57
Veteran Nollywood actor, Saint Obi, whose birth name is Obinna Nwafor, has passed on.
The highly gifted 57 years old thespian died on Sunday, May 7, 2023, in Jos, Plateau State.
Reports say the actor died at the home of one of his siblings. Obinna’s death was not immediately made public because of a difference of opinion between his siblings.
Despite the fact that the exact cause of his death is yet to be disclosed, his remains have been deposited at the Jos University Teaching Hospital, JUTH, morgue.
Having studied theater arts at the University of Jos, Saint Obi debuted in the acting scene in 1996, after featuring in a Peugeot commercial on NTA.
He would be remembered for many things. Many people will remember him for his actions in the films he produced: “Take Me to Maama” (his 2001 film). The deceased played Jerry in the movie.
Saint Obi had over 60 movie roles to his credit.
