Your ÀSE is your Gavel hence when an Iwure such as this goes out, use your ‘Gavel’ to validate the blessing—Oba Adio

It is impossible for the word ‘prayer’ to capture the depth of the Yoruba word ‘Iwure’. Be that as it may, we as human ‘beings’ will surely ‘become’ what our individual Oke iponri desires for us.

Aare Taiwo Idowu-Fagbohun is a renowned Babalawo (Ifa priest). He lives in Oyo (Oyo State, Nigeria) and is the president of Oke-Ifa Fagbohun Temple (OFAT). He is also a teacher at the Ifa Heritage Institute in Oyo, Oyo State, Nigeria.

The Yorubas usually put their seal of authority on Iwure by saying ÀSẸ.

Picture yourself as the senate president of a country (let’s say the country’s name is Self) or a chief judge (of the court named Self-Court) with a gavel of authority in your hand. Your ÀSE is your gavel; hence, when an Iwure such as this goes out, use your GAVEL to validate the blessing.

Kindly affirm the words of this Iwure by saying ‘ÀSE’.

We wish you all the goodness in the world.
