BREAKING: Popular Nigerian Actor, Murphy Afolabi, Is Dead
Nigeria’s movie industry is in a mourning mood again with the reported death of Murphy Afolabi.
Barely 24 hours after reports of the death of popular Nollywood actor Obinna Nwafor, famously known as Saint Obi, went viral.
The entertainment industry has been thrown into mourning following the sudden demise of actor Murphy Afolabi today May 14.
According to reports from his associates, Afolabi who celebrated his 49th birthday on May 5, slipped on tiles and hit his head on a hard surface.
The popular Yoruba actor posted on his Instagram page just 21 hours ago.
A filmmaker and the president of the Yoruba movies directors guild, Seun Olaiya, shared the sad news on a WhatsApp platform populated by filmmakers.
He was corroborated by the Managing Director of the popular movie marketing company, Corporate Pictures Nigeria Limited, Abdullahi Abdulrasaq.
Olaiya wrote, “I swear to God just before the news, I was still hailing him. This is really a rude shock to me.”
